Skotel Alpine Resort is a true alpine retreat nestled in the tussock on the edge of Whakapapa Village in the heart of the Tongariro National Park. Its natural timber decor gives a warm mountain lodge atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

After an exciting day skiing, biking, hiking or sight-seeing come back to the Skotel and unwind over an excellent meal or a drink by the fire in the Terrace Restaurant and Bar. Enjoy stunning views, sunrises & sunsets & the superb night sky. 

Skotel offers a range of accommodation options including hotel rooms, backpackers (in separately rented rooms), family rooms and self-contained fully equipped cabins. Each room in the hotel offers tea and coffee making facilities, a TV, fridge, shower and toilet facilities, some have a bath combined with the shower. 

View rooms have mountain or landscape views and open on to a deck or balcony with a small table and chairs. Backpacker rooms share communal bathrooms (separate male & female), lounge/dining & kitchen facilities.
