Have you just come for a drive to check the snow out? Arriving here can be daunting your first time.... Where do I go? Chains? Shuttles? Road Conditions? At the Alpine Centre you can get the latest up to date information on the road conditions, and the dedicated and informed Ski Biz team can advise you on the best options to get up the mountain and whether to take a shuttle or drive. They also sell Car Snow chains or Textile Snow Socks for Cars and 4x4 Vehicles.
I just want to Play in the Snow!  What do I need? Before heading up the mountain you should be dressed for the conditions. The Ski Biz rental has a huge range of rental Snow Après boots, Jackets, Pants, and little kiddies’ suits, plus the shop is stocked with 100s of gloves from kiddies to huge sizes. Once you’ve got the right gears you are ready to get on up the mountain for your adventure whether its sledding, make a snowman, take a ride up the Sky Waka, or just throw snowballs at each other.
You have purchased a Lesson Package Online but still need ski clothes!  You are so excited this is going to be your first time skiing or boarding. Don’t risk being cold and shivering – when you can be dressed for the conditions before you get to the mountain. The Ski Biz rental has Jackets, Pants, Goggles and Helmets plus bins of Ski Gloves to purchase from only $20, and they now have a Whakapapa Click and Collect Machine so you can also pick up your online purchased passes for Whakapapa and the SkyWaka Gondola.
Need a quick purchase before heading up the mountain!  The Alpine Centre shop is stocked with all the snow store essentials. Products are competitively priced, and the selection is vast with goggles ranging from $50-$500, helmets from $89 and waterproof snow gloves starting at only $20. Also Snow Chains and Textile Socks for cars, belts, beanies, socks, balaclavas, thermals, sunglasses, Tuning equipment, and much much more...

Needing to rent Skis or Snowboards? The Ski Biz Rental is all about you, the customer, and ensuring you have the right gear to get your best possible day on the mountain.
 • You’ll get tuned equipment every time you rent gear, so you always get equipment that slides and turns like it should.

• You can book online and have gear set aside for you to try when you arrive

• A computerised rental system retains the details of the gear you rented, so you can book the same gear next time and it will be set up and ready for when you arrive.

 • A targeted Intermediate skier rental program, with a range of Intermediate performance rental skis which can also be purchased through the shop for special discounted prices.

Skis & Snowboards: Selected range of Skis, snowboards, boots and bindings. Plus ski and binding packages starting from $699.

Boot Fitting: Professional boot fitters will ensure you are fitted in the right boot for your ability level, fitness and physique. Also 3D Foot-beds, Custom Footbeds, Boots Stretching, and heat mouldable liners and shells.

Workshop Services: Experienced ski technicians provide midweek overnight Edging and Waxing (Skis & Snowboards). Full Tuning Services, base work, patches and ski mounts can be dropped in for overnight servicing on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

If you need a day off from the mountain there is E-BIKES for Rental: Whyte Mountain e-Bikes, with dropper post seats and 4 assistance modes, so you’re guaranteed an enjoyable ride, locally there’s two Mountains to Sea Trails – Marton Sash & Door, or Fishers Track.
